Apache Tear

Apache Tears are a variety of Obsidian, a glassy, volcanic rock.  Apache Tears are native to Mexico and the Southwestern US.

Their name derives from a story about the Apache Indian tribe pursued by the cavalry. It is said that the warriors were forced over a precipice to their deaths and that the dark tears of grief of the Apache women solidified into the droplet shaped stones which can be found in that area.

Apache Tears carry a stong earth element and are used for grounding and protection from negative energies. There are convenient to carry in a pouch or pocked because of their size and rounded form.  They link easily with one’s emotional body and can be used to cleanse and heal old wounds or emotional ‘baggage’ on may be carrying rom the past.  Apache Tears can be excellent talismans of protection from all sorts of negative forces. They raise one’s level of psychic attunement, so one can “feel ‘ the approach of threatening persons, situations or energies.

They are known as the ‘vacuum cleaner’ of negative vibrations by keeping one clear by magnetizing and neutralizing disharmonious frequencies.
